blackbird ballad’s line of hand-rolled incense pyres are a current fascination we happily share with others, given all the raves we hear whenever we smoke up a cone in the shop.
these 3 float to the top of our earth-kissed boat of happiness
ai – (pronounced eye, meaning love in japanese) notes of geranium, rose stem, moss, and mint combine to evoke imagery of musky campfires and traipses through pine forests. the scent of ai is cleansing, masculine and energizing.
muru – (‘grass’ in estonian) notes of vetiver, cypress and soil, this scent is soft and warm, with a tranquil woodsy noseful of dry hay and just enough cypress zing to compliment its earthy loveliness.
tilde – notes of agarwood/oud, black pepper, patchouli,
sage, geranium and cedar wood. the most sensual of our 3 choices, it evokes images of belly dancers and hookahs in the far east, or haggling over barrels of aromatic spices.
hand-made and packaged in ballard, washington. each tin holds twenty charcoal cones, and the lid acts as a tray.
